About MDE

The Egyptian non-governmental organization “Modern Foundation for Development and Education Improvement” (short: MDE) was formally established in May 2018, and since then has paved the way for several society promoting initiatives.

MDE is committed towards opening up new career and employment perspectives for the current and upcoming Egyptian generation and, via its comprehensive portfolio, set the foundation for responsible, critical-thinking and self-confident youth capable to meet the demands of the labor market and thus make a contribution towards the society’s and country’s healthy and sustainable development

Despite the series of reform measure of the Egyptian education system, which have been implemented in the course of the past years, major challenges continue to exist and have to be seriously addressed, especially in view of the rapidly growing population and the continuous technological progress.

Through the gradual and ongoing establishment of a genuine partnership and the exchange of know-how and expertise, MDE is introducing new specializations, research projects, workshops, seminars and teaching-learning methods. All programs and methods are permanently monitored to make sure they meet the globally proven quality standards.

MDE Objectives

 Establishment of universities, institutions, and schools as per the approvals of formal authorities;
 Direct investment towards scientific research and development initiatives; 
 Improve levels of scientific researchers and formulate and advocate for a code of research ethics;
 Establish innovative, demand driven Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET);
 Establish and make available skills rehabilitation;
 Emphasis on providing top quality training, development and education with improved employment rates;
 Establish a basis for national and international accreditation of course programs and allow for the development of an international credit transfer system;
 Conduct innovative research for improved development, education approaches and techniques;
 Allow self-sustainable and long-term development of professional capacity in education, vocational learning and training;
 Conduct promotion and media campaign for scientific research through conferences, seminars, symposiums, forums, educational periodicals publications; 
 Encourage and foster the development of international co-operation on education, development and training;
 Conduct labor market studies and potentials assessment;
 Facilitate the international exchange of knowledge and experience among learned and learning; 
 Support establishment of educational clusters and institutions;
 Promote educational disciplines which embody equity/equality; and intercultural understanding; 
 Develop TVET to become an integrated force in national and regional innovation systems;
 Develop, rehabilitate and equip public and governmental hospitals and health units, centers and clinics in various governorates villages and centers;
 Establish hospitals and pharmacies and provide consultations in all issues relevant to pharmaceuticals and biological fields;
 Exchange expertise, visits, knowledge and cultural awareness between Egypt and other countries to attract and help create unique scientists; 
 Convene annual competition for distinguished international and national young researchers; 
 Support and foster distinguished students in case of lack of financial capabilities through establishing innovative research centers;
 Establish database and websites that serve researchers all over the world and create an comprehensive system for science management; 
 Organize scientific exhibitions; 
 Coordinate with Egyptian and International universities for exchange of expertise and knowledge in the field of development and improvement of education; 
 Provide scholarships for distinguished and distinctive students;
 Produce scientific programs and documentaries for scientific research;  
 Support and provide learning, training and education that suits the current time.
